PCR Work Station

  • Our PCR Work Stations have been designed for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) applications. These systems filter and sterilize air treated by the UV/HEPA system flows into the PCR chamber.
  • They control the potential PCR contamination with built-in UV for inactivation of DNA between experiments. The shortwave UV can be used as a standard laboratory practice to reduce surface and airborne contaminants in the chamber.

These are two stage filter system:

  • Pre-filter captures large dust particles
  • HEPA (high efficiency energy particulate) filter blocks particles down to 0.3 microns

Highlights: - Three UV (UV3) sources

  • Filter area
  • Chamber work area
  • UV/air recirculator

A 30-minute timer sets shortwave UV exposure to decontaminate apparatus and work chamber for specific times Antimicrobial coated stainless steel reduces bacterial growth A safety shut-off switch automatically turns the ultraviolet light off when the door is open Place large instruments on the work area or tubes, flasks and pipettes on the two removable shelves Built-in power outlets allow operation of equipment for use in PCR applications Acrylic panels are specially formulated to block UV wavelengths below 400mm
